We are home bodies the four of us. We can sit and putter in the house for days. And we love that we do not go anywhere for the Holidays. Here are some of the things we have been up to at home this week…

First, I want to say that the Jared’s new theme ROCKS!! I started with ProPhoto 1 and was a beta tester for ProPhoto2…and he really has out done himself. I love your site and your photos. I have been doing photography on the side for almost 10 years, but have never had the confidence to jump into it full-time. I have recently begun considering it again, now that I have a 4-month-old child.
I used to only do on-location shoots like you, but built a studio in my basement because of constant requests for more “studio-like” portraits. I miss doing just on-location. Kids are so much more fun in their natural habitat!
I just wanted to jot down a note and say hi and let you know that I love your work! It is inspirational.

I loved watching the parents on the sidelines cheering their girls on. They warmed up this chilly morning with their enthusiasm and heart.

There is only one word that can describe the the Girls on the Run – DC Wondergirl 5K race: C-O-L-D! We had a high of 25 and a wind chill in the the teens. BRRRR!!
But the cold and windy weather did not dampen the spirit and enthusiasm of this amazing event. Once again I left feeling inspired and in complete awe of the girls who ran it, and the parents who got up so early in the cold and cheered on. These girls really are amazing. I only know a few, as my son’s school has a team that runs (Go Hoppers!), but I feel so proud of all of them. I was on the brink of tears as I watched them through my view finder approach the finish line. I left feeling warm at heart and grateful I get to be a part of this great organization.
