Kickin it on Spring Break

We are not doing anything fancy or special for Break.  Been kicking around the house and the occasional outing. Sometimes it is nice to just be at home with no plans and no worries.

I have begun a new photo project which I plan on announcing here soon…and here is a little preview

Eight is Contagious

Cal got a little more than he bargained for on his birthday.  Three out of the four Weisses have shared their contagious strep cooties with each other. This was not what I envisioned  when I established a rule in our house about “sharing”;-)

But it cant be all bad when you get to spend the entire afternoon at home playing with your new birthday toy…Mario Cart for wii!

My children could not be more different from one another, and yet I love them for who they are in their own unique way.  I often say Eli is my heart and Cal is my soul.  He is me.  Some days when I meet myself in him it scares the bejesus out of me.  And yet he can reach in and grab me like no other; cause I know him.  He has grown into the most delightful, kooky, funniest child I have ever met.  His arrival changed my life for the better.  And I will be forever grateful to him for that.  Happy 8th Birthday my love.

Victoria - I love your photos! I wanted to know what kind of camera do you use, & what made you want to do it. I love to take photos..so I just wanted to know from a Pro to a amateur

The path from snow to salt to carwash

If you live on the east coast…chances are you were hit with a variation of the storm that brought DC about 8 inches of snow and a day off from school.

Five days later it was 80 degrees.  Hello Spring!

So because I live on two, out of the way, one way streets, we are lucky to see a snow plow.   But this year I don’t know what happened…maybe they found us by accident…maybe they were making up for all the years they never hit out street…or maybe it was the end of the shift and they needed an out of the way place to dump the last of their salt.  We got our allotment of salt and then some!

Our streets now look like the salt flats.    This is what my street looked like on Sunday.  I really hate to think where this will all end up after the first rain.

So needless to say my car was in desperate need of a car wash.  And what better way to get into the spirit of Spring by donning our Crocs, shorts, and playing with the hose!
