We enjoyed seeing the photos of Camie. He is such a nice looking boy. We are looking forward to spending time at the cabin with him & Mckinley. Hope all is well with you and your family.
Hi Emily! Brilliant stuff here! Composition, color, light… I could go on. Actually I will… watch for an email through you contact link!
The Weiss Family has a new member…and no I am NOT pregnant!
We adopted a beautiful 1 year old German Shepherd mix named Aubrey. She was given up to what is referred to as a “high kill” shelter down south at about 6 months. K-9 Lifesavers Dog Rescue rescued her and placed her with her foster mom Michelle. She was living with Michelle until about a week ago when we met her at a dog adoption event a the Cleavland Park Petco.
We were not expecting to see a dog right away that we wanted to adopt and bring home. We thought we would go and look, talk to the group about their process, and learn more about what they do and get some insight on the best kind of dog for our family. But this beautiful girl just grabbed our eyes and our hearts. We were smitten.
She is still very shy and a bit skittish. And you can tell that that she may not have had the happiest of lives before us. We hope to change all that. She is just as sweet as can be, calm and gentle with the kids. So far in the past week she has begun to feel a bit more at home. She has gladly christened the backyard, romped with our canine neighbors, and the kids hope that one day she will feel comfortable enough to sleep at the end of their beds. And while we are not looking forward to dealing with dog poop…I think it is safe to say that we all feel glad to have dog back in the fold.
So here is our new baby and, as the kids say, my new photo project…Aubrey!

These ears kill me. I love them! They are so cute!!

Congratulations and she is very fortunate. Give her lots of love and even more understanding — and time.
PS: I found you because I’m investigating the ProPhoto template. I hate the one I’m currently using and recently tried — serves me right for going for a free one. Love your blog home, your photos, and that you gave this girl a gentle and understanding home!
Congratulations! I look forward to meeting her. I know the boys are really excited. Erik loves the pics.
