Hi I’m Emily. I am a Washington, DC fine art child and family photographer. I am the photographer for families that are looking beyond the perfectly posed portrait in your “Sunday Best” and want something more spirited, authentic, and artistically captures you real life. My favorite clients are adventurous, fun-loving, quirky, and have a desire to showcase that unique spirit in photographically artistic ways.

This blog is where I post my most recent sessions with clients, commercial assignments, my charitable photo projects and my personal photo projects. In additional I want to help parents display and take photos of their kids. I strongly believe that all kids deserve to feel like they are heard and seen int he world, and a great way to do that is through photography.

My hope is that by reading my posts and viewing my work you will see my creative viewpoint and think of me when searching for a photographer to help you create art of your child and family. Or maybe you will pick up on a technique or way of seeing that enables you to capture your kids in a different light. And hopefully you will find inspiration about how to display and showcase photos of your kids and family.
