The four of us bright and early on the ground of the Washington monument just before we started are 39.3 mile Avon walk . It was a bit chilly and cold but we were brimming with excitement over what was yet to unfold.

Three of my oldest and dearest friends in the world have arrived today from all over the country, so that the 4 us us may partake in our annual girls weekend. This year we decided to give back and participate in the Washington DC Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. As a group we collective raised over $8,860.

While playing goalie, some other kids (who were unaware that I was Eli ‘s Mom) said out loud “That Eli is a good goalie, he doesn’t let anything in!”
