(Day 365) The End

If you have been following along today is the last day of the year and the last day of my 365 project.

If you are really paying attention you can see I screwed up my count down.

Tonight, after over a week of sick kids and a pretty shitty Xmas vacation, we are having good friends over to celebrate the old and ring in the new and will sit outside by out new fire-pit.

Cant imagine a better way to end/start the year — surrounded by some of my most favorite people in the whole world.

(Day 362) Back in the Land of the Living

This was the sickest Cal has ever been, he was literally catatonic on the couch for 6 days straight.  And finally today he got up, went outside, and played.

There is no harder, more trying time for a parent than when your child is sick.

(Day 361) The Crud Strikes Again

And took Eli out.

(Day 360) Washingtonian Ad

Opened this months Washingtonian Magazine and saw an ad for the British School of Washington, featuring my photo.   I still get a thrill when I see my work in print, and I think I always will.

(Day 359) The Christams Crud CURE!

After four days of a high fever, sore throat, vomiting, upset stomach and not any better, I finally scored an appointment with the pediatrician.

Streptococcus, aka strep throat, is the nasty little bugger that disrupted our Christmas and our vacation.

(Day 358) Favorite gifts

I did not realize it at the time but i manged to capture three of his favoite gifts all at once:

1. Drinking glasses – no boy is complete unless he has a pair

2. Family Guy pint glasses – saw them at Target 4 months ago and squirreled them away.

3. Digital watch – his first and it made him (and therefore me) so happy

(Day 357) Christmas Crud

Today, on Christmas, my oldest awoke with a 102 fever.  He was in no shape for anything.    We loaded him up with Advil and hoped it would kick in enough so we could at least open presents, but were planning for the worst.    By 11 he announced he was well enough to open presents, but all our other plans for a big family dinner were off.   He and I stayed home while the rest of our family open their presents at Grandmas and enjoyed the Holiday together.

Yeah…it sucked.

Out of respect to my little boy who lost his Christmas I did not take photo today.

(Day 356)

Ready to Rock and Roll for Xmas
